Florida coastal cooking with a Mediterranean accent: whole grilled snapper, stone crab in season, citrus-dressed greens from a grower in Homestead, and a short list of cold, mineral white wines.

Tables spill onto the terrace at sunset. Reservations are recommended on weekends, and hotel guests always have a table held until 7 PM.

Sixteen flavours churned in small batches — key lime pie, salted coconut, dark chocolate sorbet, and a rotating flavour that changes with whatever fruit the market has.

Open to the Broadwalk, so you can order in a swimsuit with sand still on your feet. Nobody minds.

Loungers and umbrellas are set out each morning and are complimentary for guests. Beach towels are refreshed daily at the desk.

Bicycles, paddleboards, snorkel sets and cabanas are available to reserve, along with arrangements for jet ski and parasailing operators just up the beach.
